KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30 – Traffic flow on several major highways has been reported as under control, although the number of vehicles has increased as of 9 am today due to the Deepavali celebrations on Thursday.
A spokesman for the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said traffic is still under control along the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway, East Coast Expressway (LPT) 1 and 2, as well as the North-South Expressway (PLUS) South route (E2) heading towards Johor.
There is also an increase in traffic from Bidor to Tapah; Tapah to Gopeng; and Seberang Jaya to Perai, according to the spokesman.
“There is congestion too along the Klang Valley Expressway, Elite Expressway from Putra Heights to Seafield,” the spokesman told Bernama.
“Meanwhile, on the Damansara Puchong Expressway (LDP) northbound, traffic is increasingly heavy from Puchong Utama to Puchong Intan; the PJS Toll Plaza to the Cable Bridge; Kelana Jaya to SS2; and Penchala Toll Plaza to Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI).”
The spokesman said that on the Sprint Highway, traffic saw an increase from the Mont Kiara intersection exiting towards Kayu Ara.
