We cordially invite Malaysian businesses and individuals from all walks of life to join us at the Expo and experience China’s stories and the charm of Jiangsu.

Jiangsu Province is located in the mid-lower reaches of the Yangtze River, at the intersection of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. With its unique geographical advantages, Jiangsu covers an area of 107,200 square kilometers and is home to 85.15 million permanent residents. In 2022, Jiangsu’s GDP reached RMB 12.29 trillion, consistently ranking as the second-largest provincial economy in China for the past 30 years. As an open and forward-looking province, Jiangsu attracted USD 30.5 billion in foreign capital utilization and achieved a total volume of foreign trade amounting to RMB 5.45 trillion in 2022, ranking first and second in China, respectively. Moreover, its foreign trade in services exceeded USD 57.09 billion, securing a leading position nationwide. Jiangsu Province possesses rich cultural traditions and resources, with its cultural trade scale ranking among the top three in China. In addition to the abundant intangible cultural heritage, such as Yunjin brocade, Suzhou Embroidery, Jade Carving, and purple clay pottery, Jiangsu is renowned for its traditional Chinese medicine and Huaiyang Cuisine. Services and products related to animation, gaming, film and television, documentaries, and copyright trade have expanded Jiangsu’s presence in the global market, gaining popularity worldwide.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia 49 years ago, Malaysia has become Jiangsu’s second-largest trading partner within ASEAN. We believe that the upcoming China Jiangsu Culture Trade Expo (Malaysia) will pave the way for new channels in Jiangsu’s international cultural trade, foster new achievements in cooperation between enterprises from both countries, and expand new opportunities for trade cooperation and exchange between Malaysia and China. Therefore, we anticipate this Expo to mark the beginning of a new chapter in our cooperation.
