Kuala Lumpur April 15 – Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Malaysia) Berhad (“ICBC Malaysia”) donated 20,000 units of KN95 face masks amounting to RM135,200 to General Hospital Kuala Lumpur (GHKL). During the handover, representative of GHKL expressed their gratitude on the timely support from ICBC Malaysia as these masks were on the urgent demand by the hospital.
Mr Wang Qiang, CEO of ICBC Malaysia , presented the masks at the handover ceremony , said the donation was part of the Bank’s initiatives on carrying out corporate social responsibilities in combating COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia. He told MCI that ICBC Malaysia has been making all efforts to support Malaysia , including the donation of RM20,000 cash and 4,000 face masks to organisations needed and Jointly holding video seminar with China counterparts to share practical knowledge and preventive tips to ICBC Malaysia employees pertaining to Covid-19. He further expressed the ICBC Malaysia’s determination on its financial support to Malaysian Enterprises and organisations during this critical moment and prove the care of ICBC Malaysia to the local Malaysian society.
As the largest international commercial bank in the world in terms of total assets, ICBC has been always upholding its corporate culture of rewarding the local society. And now ICBC Malaysia proved its commitment on corporate social responsibilities to fight with the local society against the epidemic.
